Description

Plexus is an established oil and gas engineering and service business, admitted to the London Stock Exchange AIM Market in December 2005.

Based in Aberdeen Plexus has become the largest supplier of specialist jack-up exploration wellhead equipment with nearly 100% of the North Sea market, and a growing international reach including Brunei, China, Egypt, Malaysia, Russia and West Africa.

POS-GRIP

POS-GRIP Technology was invented by Plexus' founder and CEO, Ben van Bilderbeek, an accomplished engineer and successful entrepreneur with over 35 years' industry experience, and a track record of developing and commercialising specialised wellhead and drilling equipment.

Its first application in the oil and gas industry was through the introduction of an adjustable rental wellhead system for jack-up exploration drilling.

The benefits demonstrated by the POS-GRIP jack-up drilling system, used in conventional field applications, led to the development of proprietary, specialised high pressure and high temperature (HP/HT) HG Production Wellhead systems, which are key to the industry as it shifts to more extreme operational environments in response to increasing global demand for oil and gas products.

The operational and cost saving benefits delivered  by the original POS-GRIP standard pressure exploration jack-up drilling system led to the development of proprietary, specialised high pressure and high temperature (HP/HT) jack-up drilling systems as well as HG Production Wellhead systems, and Connectors.
