EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG's predecessor companies started delivering electricity to Baden-Württemberg over one hundred years ago. Today, they are one of the largest energy supply companies in Germany and Europe. With a workforce of around 21,000 employees, the company supply electricity, gas, water and energy-related products and services to 5.5 million customers.

As an integrated energy company, the EnBW Group operates along the entire energy industry value chain offering an extensive portfolio of services.

Renewable Energies

The company's activities in the area of power generation from renewable energy sources – where they utilise the natural resources of water, wind and sun – are combined under the Renewable Energies segment. EnBW are expanding renewable energies, above all in the areas of onshore and offshore wind energy, and photovoltaics, and broadening their activities along the value chain: The principle of partnership plays a central role in this context and the company offer potential investors such as local authorities and private citizens, whom they attract with the aid of targeted models, the chance to participate in renewable energy projects. The value added in this segment encompasses project development, construction and efficient operation, as well as the repowering of the plants in the future.
