Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Ltd. (BGFCL) is the state owned largest natural gas producing organization of Bangladesh. It is one of the largest industrial entities actively involved in producing natural gas, conditioning the same to the pipeline quality and then supplying to the gas transmission system. BGFCL now meets around 31% of country's total natural gas production. It also meets a significant portion of country's demand for liquid fuel by processing condensate (liquid by-product of natural gas) into motor spirit (MS) & high speed diesel (HSD). BGFCL pays a considerable amount to the National Exchequer every year.
EOGEPLEssar Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Ltd (EOGEPL) is Essar’s flagship upstream oil & gas exploration & production arm. It has a global portfolio of high impact conventional and unconventional CBM (Coal Bed Methane) assets. The CBM assets are spread across key coal basins in India and have an acreage in excess of 2,700 sq. km, with more than 10 tcf of reserves and resources. With Simultaneous Exploitation policy in place additional 8 tcf of Shale/CBM would add in the above reserves & resources.
