Hutton Energy is a London based E&P company founded to pursue oil and gas exploration and development opportunities in Europe.
The principals of Hutton Energy have been working together for nearly two decades. The group is comprised of experienced oil and gas explorers and producers who were some of the first movers in the Marcellus Shale and retain interests in nearly all of the major shale basins in North America. Other global activity spans Australia, Asia and Europe.
Macquarie Bank invested in the group in 2010 and has remained a significant shareholder in Hutton’s expanding business. The Hutton Energy investment is held by Macquarie’s Metals and Energy Capital Division (MEC), which has invested in and provided finance for mining and energy projects for over twenty years.
Hutton Energy is focused specifically on developing onshore European oil and gas plays. The group has utilised its global experience to build a diverse portfolio across a range of countries and proven petroleum systems, and targeting a number of different play types.
