Description

ECOHZ works with ca 20% of RE100 companies committed to 100% renewable electricity. ECOHZ provides various impact solutions such as corporate PPA facilitation, long-term EAC contracts as well as – GO² – a solution combining renewable energy purchases with financing of new renewable power generation. Renewable electricity is documented with Guarantees of Origin in Europe, RECs in North America and International RECs (I-RECs) in a growing number of countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

ECOHZ is among the leading independent suppliers in Europe and has offices in Norway and Switzerland. ECOHZ plays an active role in the current energy transition through its vision of “Changing Energy Behaviour”.

Portfolio

ECOHZ manages a renewable energy portfolio of more than 50 TWh, making the company one of Europe’s largest independent suppliers.

ECOHZ’s portfolio includes documented renewable energy from more than 400 power plants across 6 continents. The portfolio comprises renewable electricity generated from hydropower, wind power, bioenergy, solar power and geothermal energy.

History

The company Enviro Energi was established in 2002 by Leif Hegna and John Ravlo, with support from nine Norwegian power companies. From the start, the business concept was to be a European provider of Guarantees of Origin and value-added services for renewable energy. In 2007, Home Capital AS acquired a majority stake and the company’s name was changed to ECOHZ. ECOHZ currently has 15 employees.
