Oleochem was formed in 2004, to join as an independent member of the well-established Oleochem group of companies, which began providing services to the oil & gas industry in 1992. Oleochem’s unique name comes from Oleum; the Latin word meaning oil and chemistry. The group of companies have now all become one entity, operating from its main base in Aberdeen, specialising in providing turn-key solutions world-wide. Oleochem is managed by hands-on, experienced production chemists who possess a real in-depth understanding of client’s requirements and the industry as a whole.

The company can draw on its extensive track record in lab commissioning contracts, to design the facilities, supplying of equipment, providing the personnel for start-up and train local staff.

• Laboratory Modules: Oleochem’s experience of laboratory modules has been built through the delivery of project management, design and fabrication services, to the offshore industry for over 20 years. The company's laboratories can be found in operation on numerous vessels and pioneering fields across the globe.
• Procurement: With many years of experience procuring goods for clients large and small, Oleochem understand that when procurement is done well, it saves clients time, money and avoids mistakes. Procurement should include, understanding the clients’ requirements, reviewing options/alternatives, sourcing suppliers, tendering, negotiation, inspecting, dispatch and receipt.
• Repairs & Servicing: Combined with their rental equipment, Oleochem can often also take care of the calibration, or repair of client’s own instruments to the manufacturers’ standard. Using strict in-house procedures, all equipment is checked and photographed on arrival, and prior to dispatch, to ensure that the instrument is functioning and ready to use on its return.
• Rental Equipment: Oleochem maintain a wide range of analytical laboratory equipment at their base in Aberdeen, which are available on a rental basis.
• Project Management: Oleochem’s project management services include, full life cycle management for oil & gas production laboratories.
