History
CAN (Offshore) Ltd was founded in 1986 when it introduced industrial rope access in to the North Sea and was a founding member of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA). With unrivalled knowledge and experience in this area, CAN remains the industry expert for the provision of rope access services. The business has diversified and evolved with the increasing challenges facing the industry with their focus remaining on protecting and extending the life of assets.
Initially offering rope access and trades related services the company moved into the inspection and Advanced NDT market in the early 1990's, later expanding into inspection management. In 2003 CAN Group added a suite of integrity management and engineering services to their service portfolio which was shortly followed by the addition of vendor inspection and QA/QC services in 2005.
In 2014 the company restructured and re-branded as CAN Group, forming their business streams CAN, ENGTEQ and VENTEQ to provide greater visibility to their full service offering. The CAN business streams deliver inspection, advanced NDT, trades related and access solutions; ENGTEQ provides integrity management and engineering services, and VENTEQ offers vendor inspection and QA/QC services.
