Founded in 2017, the company combines the experience of seasoned subsurface, engineering and commercial experts in a management team which distinguishes itself by its entrepreneurial spirit, determination to challenge paradigms and development of innovative solutions.
Lir Resources is a next generation energy company with two ambitions: (i) to supply indigenous, commercially attractive and secure energy to the UK; and (ii) to combat climate change by offsetting CO2 emissions.
Lir Resources will realise the vast shale gas potential of the East Irish Sea Basin, by drilling wells economically, through employing innovative rig technology and utilising the existing production and pipeline infrastructure.
Through large scale and long-term production of gas from the East Irish Sea Basin Lir Resources will significantly reduce the United Kingdom’s reliance on imported gas, pipelined from Europe or shipped globally as LNG. Future EIS gas supplies will be secure and affordable.
