Petrotrace have completed the PSDM seismic reprocessing over the Tuskar prospect for their client, Athena Exploration. Tuskar is a Palaeocene pinchout and fault closure in the West of Shetland region and is one of the largest low risk gas prospects on the UKCS with P50 prospective resources of ca. 1.1 TCF. Tuskar is covered by 3 different 3D seismic datasets, only one of which has previously been depth migrated and has angle stacks available. This dataset only covers part of the prospect and displays a Class III AVO response over Tuskar. The Petrotrace reprocessing delivers a depth migrated dataset and angle stacks to complete the coverage of these volumes across the prospect for the very first time. Athena look forward to interpreting this new dataset to confirm the trap geometry and AVO response across the whole of Tuskar.
