Flare awarded data services contract with the Oil & Gas Authority

Flare Solutions this week announced that the OGA (Oil & Gas Authority) in the UK has selected Flare to help improve the completeness and quality of data held by the OGA. The OGA’s aim is to ensure that it can supply better datasets to the industry and other stakeholders in order to promote its objectives of Maximising Economic Recovery and Energy Transition.

Flare will be providing several services, including project management and data improvement initiatives. Flare is looking forward to working collaboratively with the OGA and to help improve the quality of data held by the OGA, their data capabilities and helping them to achieve their goals of putting data at the heart of the industry.

David Lecore, Oil and Gas Authority, Information and Samples Compliance Manager said,
“Good quality data is crucial to achieving the twin goals of maximising economic recovery and reaching net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. We are confident that the services provided will improve the quality of the data available on our Digital Energy Platform, which is of such importance to the petrotechnical, data science and academic communities.”
