16/03/2018

Zarubezhneft has become the first Russian company of the fuel and energy sector to receive the Vision Zero Certificate, thereby joining the International Zero Injury Concept within the framework of HSE.

Joining the Concept and developing its own competencies in this area will allow the Company:

  • to start implementing the Zero Injury strategy concept using advanced foreign practices;
  • to modernize HSE management tools in order to achieve Zero Injury results in terms of production activities;
  • to form a unified corporate HSE Leadership Program that will include efficiency assessment and assessment of a degree of participants involvement into the process.

The Concept was widely presented during the special Strategic Session called "Leadership in HSE. The goal is "Zero", which was organized in the Company. The Session has become the first one in Russia, where seven "golden rules" of the Vision Zero Concept were announced.

Background

The Zero Injury concept, Vision Zero was adopted in September 2016 at the 21st World Congress on Safety and Health in Singapore. In December 2017 a Memorandum was signed in the presence of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation and the International Social Security Association (ISSA).

Zarubezhneft is paying great attention to the issues of labor protection, industrial safety and environmental protection, fully respecting and implementing all the necessary requirements and standards.
