Business networking golf event in final drive for entrants

28/02/2020

Time is running out for energy firms to enter a team in a North-east business networking golf league.

Tee time: Iain Powell, key account manager at DF Communications, and DF Communications sales director Craig Forsyth are delighted to again be organising this year’s business networking golf league.

The league, run by Aberdeen-based award-winning mobile phone and communications specialist DF Communications, pits businesses against each other in a four-ball format with six teams in each of the five divisions.

The event has raised money for charities for more than 10 years; this year’s cause is Scotland Charity Air Ambulance, as chosen by last year’s winners RelyOn Nutec. The victors, represented by Clark Milton and Mark McDonald, won in the final at Trump International Golf Links, Balmedie.

Participants in the final of last year’s league were treated to a talk from PGA professional Alan Tait at the Balmedie course. Teams will return to Trump International for the first match of the new season in April, with the final of the league due to be played in September.

DF Communications sales director Craig Forsyth said:
“We are delighted to be hosting this tournament again. Golf is such a fantastic way for business people to get to know one another in a low-pressure environment. The league has proved to be very successful in the past and has raised money for a succession of charities over the years.”

Businesses are asked to name between two and four players, with a cost of £299+VAT per team. Any businesses requiring further information should contact golf@dfcommunications.com.
