A memorandum of understanding was signed in Dubai, (UAE) between PetroMasila, represented by Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Bin Sumait, Executive General Manager (Member of Yemen’s Follow-up and Coordination Committee) and Baker Hughes General Electric (BHGE), represented by Mr. Rami Qasem, President of BHGE in MENAT & India. 

The MOU deals with the strategic cooperation in the construction of power plants as well as development of oil and gas fields in implementation of the instructions of H.E. Mr. Abdo Rabu Mansour Hadi, President of Yemen during his meeting of last September with the Management of GE in New York held to discuss its contribution in the development of infrastructure and reconstruction process in the Republic of Yemen. 

The MOU clearly reflects the restoration of the international companies’ confidence in the area of investment in the Republic of Yemen.
