EnQuest submits decommissioning program for the Alma and Galia Oil fields

EnQuest has submitted decommissioning program for the Alma and Galia Oil fields. The Comopany has submitted decomissioning plans for the Enquest prodcuer, with all this subsea equipment, which includes manifolds and well head protection structure and all the pipelines with the field.

Also the Galia installation decommissioning plans have submitted which include a well head protection scheme and all pipelines.

The Alma and Galia oil fields are situated in blocks 30/25c and 30/24b respectively of the United Kingdom Continental Shelf and operated by EnQuest Heather Limited. These fields are located approximately 282km north-east of Northumberland coast (Seahouses), in water depths of ~77m.

The Alma and Galia fields were developed as a single joint development and came onstream in late 2015 Currently the plans for the cesseation of production documenation for the fields are currently under consideration by the Oil and Gas Authority.

The plan states the removal of the FPSO for recycling. While the moorning chains are to be cut locallu to the moorning piles belows the seabed. The mainfold will be cut below the seabed and complete removal of 8 WHPS for recycling.
