In 2020, Algeria will assume the presidency of three important international energy organizations.
Algeria will chair, during important international energy organizations namely, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPAEP), and the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries (GECF).
The head of the Algerian delegation, the CEO of the SONATRACH Group, Kamel-Eddine Chikhi, expressed the pride of Algeria in assuming this responsibility.
“Our country will continue to support OPAEP in order to encourage the Arab oil industry and complementarity between its member countries to allow this sector to fulfill its role as a driver of socio-economic development at the service of our Arab countries," said Chikhi.
In this regard, the representative of Algeria said that "the year 2020 will be rich in activities aimed at consolidating cooperation between all members to work together to preserve market balances for producer and consumer countries".
