22/11/2018

EDP Renovaveis SA has won 38 MW of wind power capacity in the recently held energy tender in Poland.

With this latest win, EDPR has secured 3.4 GW worth of onshore wind and solar capacity to be installed worldwide after September 2018, it noted. In Poland alone, the renewables arm of Portuguese energy giant Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP) currently has 418 MW of installed capacity.

Poland’s auction resulted in 31 winning bids for more than 41.997 TWh of electricity in total, sold at an average price of PLN 196.17 (USD 52.09/EUR 45.61) per MWh.
