Robert Gordon University Offers Graduate Apprenticeships to Employers

19/07/2019

Robert Gordon University (RGU) is looking to engage with employers who may be interested to hear more about the latest Graduate Apprenticeship (GA) offering and how it can benefit their business and staff.

GAs have been developed by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) in partnership with employers, universities and colleges and professional bodies to create stronger links between education and industry.

The GA programme provides fully-funded, structured training to degree level for employees – a great way to mould new recruits from the outset and/or upskill staff to make your business more productive.

GAs enable participants to earn their degree while in the workplace, where their learning is tailored to the needs of the business. Apprentices can then immediately put their improved skills into practice in a real working environment, with the support of their employer and the university.

The development of GAs has focused on a range of sectors that have a need for highly skilled jobs. Apprenticeships are proven to deliver tangible business benefits, including increased productivity, talent development and retention, improved service delivery and staff engagement in their own professional development.

There are still places available for the September intake on courses including Engineering: Design & Manufacture, Accounting, Construction & Built Environment and Data Science.
