KrisEnergy Chief Financial Officer resigns, interim appointed

18/04/2019

KrisEnergy Ltd., an independent upstream oil and gas company, announces that Kiran Raj has tendered his resignation as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) to pursue other interests. Mr. Raj also resigns as Alternate Executive Director (to Kelvin Tang, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer) and as Vice President Finance and Administration.

Joanne Ang, Group Treasury Manager, will take the role of Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Raj will advise Ms. Ang in the transition period with his last day of service being on 17 October 2019. The Board will commence a process to appoint a successor to Mr. Raj and a further announcement will be made in due course.

Tan Ek Kia, Chairman, said:
“Kiran has been our CFO since 2013. He has been a valued member of the management team and has made a huge contribution to the business in what have been exceedingly challenging times given the plummet and prolonged depression in oil prices since late 2014. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank him for his work over the last six years and wish him every success in the future. The Board also thanks Joanne for stepping in as Interim CFO. She has been a member of the finance management team since 2013 and is fully versed on all aspects of the Company’s financial and commercial matters.”

Ms. Ang joined KrisEnergy in 2013 as Corporate Finance Manager and was appointed Group Treasury Manager in the following year. She began her career with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in Sydney in 1999 in financial market operations and progressed to research analyst before departing in 2007. Ms. Ang moved to Singapore in 2008 and joined CLSA as a research analyst. From 2009 to 2013, she worked as VP, Corporate Finance at Brighton Capital Advisors, a corporate finance firm established in Singapore with a primary focus on the oil and gas sector. Ms. Ang holds a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Banking and Finance) from the University of Technology, Sydney. She is also a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society Singapore.
