Amplitude Energy has announced a new partnership with the South Australian Government to help secure the state’s energy future. Through the 2025 SA Gas Initiative, Amplitude Energy has received $2.5 million in funding from the SA Government to accelerate their East Coast Supply Project—which targets unlocking new gas supply from 2028.
This project will reserve 5 PJ of gas specifically for local customers, helping to address forecast supply shortfalls while supporting households, manufacturers and reliable electricity generation.
Importantly, this agreement sends a strong signal: gas remains an essential commodity that South Australians rely on every single day - and it will continue to play a critical role in supporting both our economy and the energy transition.
