KUFPEC recently announced the acquisition of a 20% Interest in Shell’s Orca Project, offshore Brazil.

RISC Advisory acted as technical due diligence advisor to KUFPEC, providing independent subsurface, facilities and technical insight in support of this transaction for one of Brazil’s most significant offshore developments.

The Orca Project, previously known as Gato do Mato, is the development of a major pre‑salt gas-condensate field in the Santos Basin, with estimated recoverable volumes of around 370 million barrels.

RISK Advisory team’s FPSO experience and established track record in Brazilian projects were instrumental in allowing RISC to mobilise quickly, engage efficiently with the asset and meet key technical deliverables.

The transaction is expected to complete later in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions.
