Petrobras' refinery recorded record volumes in the production of gasoline and S-10 diesel

Gasoline and S-10 diesel production at the Alberto Pasqualini Refinery (Refap), in Canoas (RS), reached new records
The Alberto Pasqualini Refinery (Refap) , in Canoas (RS) , closed the year 2025 with historical quarterly records in the production of gasoline and S-10 diesel . A volume of 786 million liters of gasoline and 765 million liters of S-10 diesel was recorded .
Previous records were achieved in the third quarter of 2013 (764 million liters for gasoline) and in the third quarter of 2025 (718 million liters for S-10 diesel). In December of last year , a monthly record was also reached in gasoline production with 291 million liters, exceeding the 281 million liters produced in December 2024.
“Petrobras works to serve the market efficiently and profitably, while maintaining product safety and quality requirements. The historical records in gasoline and S-10 diesel production at Refap, achieved in the fourth quarter of 2025, represent our firm commitment to strengthening the refinery's operational efficiency,” says Refap's general manager, Marcus Aurelius Valenti.
Petrobras S-10 Diesel, an ultra-low sulfur product with greater energy efficiency, is suitable for use in vehicles with SCR ( Selective Catalytic Reduction ) and EGR ( Exhaust Gas Recirculation ) technologies, which have combustion mechanisms capable of reducing pollutant emissions.
Refap has a processing capacity of 32,000 m³/d and produces, in addition to S-10 and S-500 diesel, gasoline, QAV-1 (JET), petrochemical naphtha, LPG (cooking gas), propene, petroleum asphalt cement (asphalt), and fuel oil.
More investments in refining.
Petrobras' new Business Plan (PN) foresees US$15.8 billion in investments in the Refining , Transportation, Marketing, Petrochemicals and Fertilizers (RTC) segment by 2030. During the PN 2026–30 period , the company should improve its production profile, expanding the share of higher value-added products.
