Aberdeen-based Prism Energy is celebrating a decade in business, marking its 10-year anniversary with a period of rapid expansion and rising international demand for its project management technology.
The company has achieved several milestones in 2025 including recently securing a contract with a global data centre to deliver its project management software, Prism Apps, to over 1000 users. The data centre has employees based in campuses across 14 countries and will be utilising most of the modules available in Prism Apps.

Reflecting on the company’s 10-year journey, Managing Director Andy Sutherland said:
“As we celebrate 10 years in business, we’re proud to see how far Prism has come in terms of the diversity of scopes our consultants are working on and the significant increase in clients this year alone. What began as a part-time venture is now a global software provider, and this new contract signals our continued expansion into thriving new sectors.”
Throughout 2025, Prism Energy has supported numerous award-winning energy industry operators in managing risk and planning the execution of major decommissioning projects. The company also hit another significant milestone with the launch of its enhanced Prism Apps platform in September, which has since been fully rolled out to all clients.
Prism Apps originated in 2015, when Andy took the first step towards developing a tool that could streamline every aspect of project management. The platform grew rapidly during the COVID-19 pandemic, as demand for online and remote solutions surged. With the addition of QHSE and people placement services in 2024, Prism has continued to scale, now employing 60 professionals and consistently doubling its turnover for the past five years.
