Oil is flat today, up on the week ahead of the Fed decision next week and with Aramco cutting prices to Asian customers for next month the market remains tough. 

Jadestone Energy

Jadestone has announced the extension of Dr. Adel Chaouch’s role as Executive Chairman.

Since assuming the Executive Chairman role on 5 December 2024, Dr. Chaouch has successfully delivered several important strategic initiatives, including the recruitment of T. Mitch Little as CEO in June 2025. Mr. Little has assumed full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the Company and is having a positive impact on the business. 

The Board believes that extending Dr. Chaouch’s role as Executive Chairman, specifically focused on strategic initiatives to unlock and communicate the Company’s underlying value, will be complementary to Mr. Little’s role as CEO and will maximize shareholder value. Dr. Chaouch’s extended contract as Executive Chairman will expire, and his role will revert to Non-Executive Chairman, no later than 4 December 2026.  

Following my visit to Akatara last month I am confident that Jadestone is in good shape and may indeed be a candidate for the Bucket List in the January update. With a powerful management team all the way through the organisation, particularly on the ground, I hope that with Vietnam will deliver on time and that another Akatara is not far away…
