CMS has today confirmed that Susie Lind has joined the firm as an Edinburgh-based Partner, strengthening the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure practice across Scotland, the UK and beyond. With more than 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Susie Lind brings deep industry insight and a track record of leadership within both commercial organisations and major trade bodies.
Susie’s appointment represents a return to her roots — she began her legal career after graduating from the University of Aberdeen in 2005 at the Edinburgh firm Dundas & Wilson, which merged with CMS in 2014. As Partner, she will provide strategic and legal guidance on all stages of renewable energy projects, including development, construction, operations and decommissioning, with a particular focus on wind energy.

“I’m thrilled to be joining CMS’s talented and industry-leading energy team,” said Susie Lind. “Scotland’s growing renewables pipeline, especially in deep-water and floating offshore wind, presents immense global opportunity — and I’m excited to contribute to that journey with CMS.”
Allan Wernham, Managing Director of CMS Scotland, commented: “Susie is a globally-recognised leader in renewable energy, and her arrival — along with other recent senior hires — will significantly strengthen our firm’s ability to advise on complex energy and infrastructure projects. Her expertise enhances our capacity to support clients across the full lifecycle of projects from development through to decommissioning.”
