Petralon Energy has announced the appointment of Pius Adegoke as Asset Manager.
With over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, Pius brings extensive expertise in production operations, asset integrity management, stakeholder relations, and crude oil barging operations.
He joins Petralon after a distinguished career with Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), where he advanced to the role of Production Unit Manager, overseeing the Imo River and Okoloma Fields with a combined capacity of 180,000 barrels per day and 240mmscf/d. He played a pivotal role in the successful transfer of these assets to a new operator.
Most recently, he worked with Sahara Group, where he was seconded to WAGL and led the operations team taking over the OML11 assets from SPDC, ramping up production from near zero to a peak of about 27,000 barrels of oil per day. Building on this success, he was later seconded to NNPC Eighteen Operating Limited (NEOL) as Manager Operations for OML18, where he led large, multidisciplinary teams to restart production in a challenging onshore swamp terrain, achieving peak outputs of 32,000 barrels of oil per day and 48MMscf/d of gas.
Pius also brings a wealth of crisis management experience, having served as Interim Stakeholder Relations Manager, where he ensured regulatory compliance while fostering constructive community engagement. His career is marked by driving innovations that enhance production efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver substantial cost savings.
Pius's proven track record in asset turnarounds, stakeholder management, and operational innovation will be instrumental in delivering sustainable value to all our stakeholders while maintaining the company's commitment to operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
