This week at PetroStrat hosted Bethan Goodwin for her work experience placement.

Bethan, a student at Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy and daughter of PetroStrat employee Josie Danford, explored a wide range of departments and gained valuable insight into the world of geoscience and business operations. Her week included:

• Learning about employment law and reviewing CVs with Bethany Thomas in HR.
• Creating GIS maps with Maxine King, PhD and getting hands-on with PetroStrat's impressive QEMSCAN equipment in the lab.
• Joining the Reservoir Geology team for a deep dive into subsurface analysis.
• Exploring palynology and micropalaeontology under the microscope with Dylan Roberts and Alexander Ball.
• Shadowing Sandeep Anantharaman and the Data & Digitalisation team as a CRM data analyst.
• Getting expert advice on university applications and CV building from Dr Jack Walker.
• Contributing to merchandise planning and a website review with Niccola Seddon in Marketing.
• Supporting Mollie Etherton in the Business Development team.
