Naftogaz Group and Polish energy company ORLEN have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at expanding strategic cooperation between the two companies. The agreement was signed in Ukraine on May 29 by Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi and ORLEN CEO and President of the Management Board Ireneusz Fąfara.
The parties also discussed the supply of natural gas and petroleum products, along with cross-border and broader commercial cooperation.
"I believe we can elevate our cooperation to a fundamentally new level,” Koretskyi commented. “I am grateful to our Polish partners and personally to Mr. Fąfara for our constructive dialogue and for their sincere support for Ukraine.”
Naftogaz and ORLEN have previously signed several agreements for the supply of liquefied natural gas to Ukraine, with total contracted volumes reaching 300 million cubic meters.
