Expertise - Alan Golightly has launched recruitment firm Agilient Talent Partners

Agilient Talent Partners, a new specialist recruitment firm, has officially launched in Aberdeen, offering a fresh, flexible approach to permanent hiring within the energy sector.

Founded by industry veteran Alan Golightly, the company provides a multi-faceted recruitment service for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) navigating complex hiring challenges. The firm has already secured its first contracts.

With more than 27 years' experience in recruitment, Alan has built a reputation for delivering high-quality placements in engineering and technical roles. His deep sector knowledge and people-first approach have earned him recognition as a trusted partner among clients and candidates alike.

Alan said:
“Agilient Talent Partners is about more than just filling roles – it’s about building lasting partnerships. We understand the pressures SMEs face in the energy sector, from cyclical hiring demands to the need for specialist talent. Our mission is to provide tailored, cost-effective recruitment solutions that align with each client's specific goals and culture.

“I’ve had a lot of positive encouragement from people, some of whom said I should have started my own company sooner. I’m looking forward to helping businesses grow by recruiting talented people.

“There’s a future in this sector if you’re offering a service that exceeds expectations and delivers long-term value through strong relationships.”

Alan previously worked with the Aberdeen operation of a UK-wide recruitment firm. He has held senior roles at several recruitment companies, including a renowned global firm, and served as chief operating officer at another agency.

Agilient Talent Partners offers a range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of its clients. These include high-quality, permanent placements for technical roles in the energy sector, ensuring businesses have access to the expertise they need to grow. The company also provides short-term internal recruitment assistance to help manage cyclical or unexpected hiring spikes, offering flexibility without the cost of full-time staff.

In addition, Agilient delivers custom recruitment strategies tailored to each client’s values and growth objectives, recognising that no two businesses are the same.

The company’s approach is rooted in the principles of agility, integrity and impact. The name Agilient reflects not just speed, but a commitment to flexibility, collaboration and client-focused service – values inspired by the agile methodology used in business.

Alan added:
“It's about taking the pressure off HR teams and hiring managers so they can focus on what they do best – leading their teams, growing sustainably and delivering on their goals.”

Alan played in the Highland League with Lossiemouth and in the junior ranks with Lewis United, Formartine and Banks o’ Dee.

Agilient Talent Partners is strategically positioned to support the energy sector’s talent needs across the UK. The launch comes at a time when the industry is seeking more adaptable and efficient recruitment solutions to meet evolving workforce demands.
