The Energy Transition in a Day – risks and uncertainties for an industry at the crossroads
This course examines the cross disciplinary challenges faced by the Energy Transition and the move to a zero carbon emission society.
Designed for: Anyone wanting a high-level overview of the overall Energy Transition and a broad understanding of how it all fits together.
Duration: 1 Day
Location: Online
When: Within last two weeks of June 2025 - specific days to be confirmed.
There are historical examples of entire industrial sectors facing decline and transformation. In such periods, some companies within the affected sectors have adapted or diversified to survive. Many exploration and production companies are still hesitant to embrace the challenge without understanding and quantifying the associated risks and uncertainties of the transition.
This one-day course will explore perceptions, misperceptions, solutions, and innovations that the energy industry is developing to navigate the current disruptive process.
At-scale projects in renewable energy pose challenges at various stages of the development that threaten their viability. Choice of scale and type of energy resource will depend on location, infrastructure, legislation, societal acceptance, market developments and affordability.
The course requires no skill level, and costs £300 per individual delegate or £250 for more than one delegate from the same company.
