SP Energy Networks has launched its new ‘Powering Conversations’ podcast, bringing together a mix of experts and academics to delve into the crucial role of electricity on the route towards a green future.
The thought-provoking podcast fosters in-depth discussions on the future of energy, sustainability, and innovation and aims to engage the general public, industry experts, and stakeholders on critical issues and opportunities facing the energy sector.
The episodes will provide a platform for varied perspectives on how different industries and organisations can work together to tackle key challenges and push forward towards a cleaner, greener future.
The podcast is hosted by Caroline Blair, who helps to guide the conversations and thought-provoking discussions across topics as wide ranging as renewable energy and smart grid technology, through to community sustainability initiatives and the future of electric transport.
In episode 1, Caroline is joined by Scott Mathieson, Network Planning and Regulation Director at SP Energy Networks, Kathleen Davis, Commercial Director at the Power Networks Demonstration Centre (or PNDC) and Dave Roberts, Chief Technology Officer at EA Technology. The group delve into the transformation ahead for our electricity network to meet Net Zero, how energy companies must evolve to meet demand and the impact this revolution will have on customers.

Season One of the podcast will explore a range of topics, from how the electricity grid is evolving, through to the future of electric transport as well as what the next generation of green communities will look like.
