SKS and NTE Sign Cooperation Agreement on Wind Power

27/02/2025

Salten Kraftsamband (SKS) and NTE have signed a cooperation agreement in which the companies will, through joint efforts, investigate and develop wind power projects from Trøndelag and northwards.

SKS and NTE are locally rooted power groups, with long traditions in energy production and business development in Nordland and Trøndelag.

"More renewable energy is a prerequisite for future value creation, industrial growth and jobs in both Trøndelag and Northern Norway. We are already experiencing that industrial projects with potential for future jobs are struggling to establish themselves, while it is taking too long to reduce existing greenhouse gas emissions. We have an ambition to produce more local energy, and onshore wind power is the only form of energy that can ensure this quickly enough and on a large enough scale," says Liina Veerme, CEO of SKS

The partnership is not put together by chance, but consists of two renewable energy players who know each other well and with cooperation based on good expertise, strong finances and local roots.

CEO of NTE Energi, Inge Forseth, believes that a joint commitment is important;

"We strongly believe in working together. Through this, we increase our implementation power and make it possible to take a greater role in the work of developing more renewable power. We also want to see if we can expand the collaboration to more parties," he says, "opening the door to both power producers and others who want to develop power production in Trøndelag and north."

SKS, together with NTE, will investigate opportunities for wind power in Trøndelag in Northern Norway
