The Lord Provost’s Charitable Trust is holding a Burns Supper to raise funds for BreakthroughT1D, a diabetes charity (formerly known as JDRF). The event is scheduled to take place in KeyFacts Energy: Events, of Aberdeen’s historic Town House, on Saturday 1st February 2025 at 7pm (for 7:30pm). This very unique event will be hosted by the Lord Provost himself. Tickets priced at £60 per person (plus booking fee) are available from the Council’s ticketing website. Drinks can be pre-booked using the link that appears on that webpage, however a full bar will also be in operation.
There will also be a raffle and charity auction with some amazing prizes, including a VIP package to see ‘Ball & Boe’ at P&J Live on 7th April 2025, including overnight accommodation at the TECA Hilton Hotel. Also up for grabs are a signed AFC shirt (current team) and a signed copy of the Freedom of the City certificate that was awarded to the Gothenburg Greats at Pittodrie Stadium in May 2023 (This very exclusive item is signed by all the players from that famous 1983 team who were in Aberdeen to receive the Freedom of the City). Other prizes include a ‘fizzy’ afternoon tea for 10 people, hotel accommodation, prestige car hire, sports vouchers, fashion vouchers, distillery tours, whisky tasting and various bottles etc.
