PetroStrat Announces Launch of PetroStrat Connect

15/01/2025

PetroStrat today announced the launch of its flagship digital product; PetroStrat Connect – their cloud-based subsurface characterisation and data delivery platform.

Utilising Connect, PetroStrat can now provide it’s world-class geological interpretations and datasets in a direct and instantly accessible way to their clients, allowing users to get to the answers they need to understand their subsurface targets more rapidly.

PetroStrat Connect is designed to visualise geological data simply and effectively within your web browser, reducing the need for any additional software installation. Single and multi-well datasets are accessed, viewed and interrogated via a growing number of secure, interconnected web applications within the PetroStrat Connect ecosystem. Geospatial trends can be analysed, well data viewed at depth, multi-wells correlated and reports/datasets easily downloaded, all through a series of easy-to-use applications.

Currently, at launch, 10k+ licenced wells from over 26 individual, non-proprietary and consortium studies are available on the PetroStrat Connect platform, spanning Norway, Canada and the Gulf Of Mexico, USA. This number will continue to grow as active non-proprietary, and selected archive non-proprietary projects are ingested onto the Connect platform.

From Q2 2025, and on client request, proprietary stratigraphic datasets will also be made available within the Connect platform, with proprietary reservoir geology datasets becoming available, on request, from Q3 2025 and onwards. By onboarding proprietary wells onto the platform, PetroStrat Connect will allow the seamless and centralised integration and interrogation of non-proprietary and proprietary datasets together, allowing smaller datasets to be placed in a wider context. And don’t worry, this is all handled automatically by the Connect platform, using our bespoke and geologically focused data models, as well as incorporating PetroStrat’s renown workflows.
