Gazpromneft to invest 1 bln rubles in Kurgan region

28/11/2018

Gazpromneft will invest one billion rubles of investments in the Kurgan region. Rostec and Sibur are also interested in the potential of the Trans-Urals territory. This was announced at the press conference of the acting Governor of the region Vadim Shumkov.

The head of the Kurgan region explained to the mass media that the implementation of any investment project, if you take the full cycle of the allocation of land, coordination of technical conditions before its completion, takes three to five years.

"Gazpromneft will increase the volume of purchases by a billion rubles. What is a billion for the Kurgan region? This is the cost of building several small social facilities in villages. That's the direct effect. These are several hundred direct additional jobs for people who will not go to other regions to look for work," - the acting Governor of the Trans-Urals territory Vadim Shumkov explains.

Not every meeting with a potential investor ends with such agreements, the head of the region noted.

"Colleagues from Gazpromneft said that there wee many opportunities that hadn’t been disclosed. With Rostec, there are also certain developments. We met with Sibur, we are waiting for a more representative delegation," - the head of the Trans-Urals territory revealed the future investment directions in the region at the press conference.

According to the press centre of the Government of the Kurgan region, on November 27, 2018, a member of the Gazpromneft’s Board Alexander Dybal and the head of the Trans-Ural territory discussed the possibility of supplying the region’s road construction and municipal enterprises with oils of the company in the framework of import substitution. Thus, according to the parties, the costs for the purchase of lubricants will be reduced. The prospects of providing the region with innovative bitumen materials for road construction were also discussed.
