Uzbekneftegaz and Russian oil and gas company Tatneft will jointly conduct research on development and production of shale oil and gas, bitumen and heavy oil, as well as the monitoring of geodynamic changes using satellite monitoring systems, the press centre of the Uzbek oil and gas company reported.

This became known during the meeting in Uzbekneftegaz of the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov and general director of Tatneft Nail Maganov, which was also attended by heads of Uzbekneftegaz, industry enterprises and organizations.

Tatneft is one of the leading partners of Uzbekneftegaz. The cooperation between the parties develops dynamically. Regular meetings, during which prospects of the bilateral cooperation, including the joint implementation of investment projects, are discussed, contribute to the strengthening of the ties.

The parties discussed the partnership in such areas as engineering, petrochemistry, geological exploration, field development and increase of oil recovery, exchange of experience and training.
