ADC Energy have announced their choice of charity to support as Aberdeen based organisation Befriend a Child, who help local children and young people living in difficult life circumstances through their befriending and mentoring programmes. 

The Rig and Assurance inspections company have committed to supporting Befriend a Child in 2024 which will greatly benefit local children and young people in the Northeast of Scotland, starting with a generous donation and support of fundraising events. 

The charity is grateful to ADC Energy for choosing to help local children and young people who face chaotic home lives, often with low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence, experiencing social isolation and parental issues like substance use and domestic violence. Matching these children with volunteers to support on a 1:1 basis is essential to improve their wellbeing and show what life has to offer. 

Katie Kyle, Head of Fundraising and Marketing at Befriend a Child, says about the new relationship: 
“We are really excited about the partnership between ADC Energy and Befriend a Child.  Many of the young people we help are not given the same opportunities in life that most of us take for granted, and working with a local business will allow us to provide more support and opportunities to these youngsters, which will improve their lives.”
