PETEX Feature Areas

PETEX 2018, Olympia London, 27 - 29 November 2018

Geophysics - Booth 30 & PESGB Stand

Covering the history of Geophysics, right up to present day, this area has been put together by the Geophysics Special Interest Group of PESGB to highlight and showcase the history of geophysics on the UK and UKCS and its contribution to the success of UK in the North Sea and neighbouring basins. Featuring areas dedicated to Land Seismic, Marine Seismic, Seismic Processing and Seismic Interpretation, the Geophysics SIG have collected old equipment, models, films, anecdotes and even a 26 tonne Vibroseis Truck.

Future Working Zone

Designed to discuss and showcase innovations in the digital energy arena, this area features both exhibitors and presentations about digital technologies and the solutions around people, processes and technology. This area also provides a platform for discussing emerging digital trends and helping businesses align their operations with these new digital strategies. The area will feature talks from industry leaders including Osokey, Cegal, BGS, Schlumberger, PPDM. 

Explore your career

This area is designed to offer career advice to graduates and unemployed delegates, advertising free tools and materials, discussing the current state of the job market and promoting current workflows around various disciplines. It will deliver this information through presentations, career clinics, a training area and discussions. 

International Pavillion

This designated space provides representatives with a forum to increase their exposure and promote licensing rounds and/or available acreage to over 3,000 G&G professionals who attend the Conference and Exhibition. The area will feature International Representatives from: National Oil Companies, Ministries and Governments and this year, we are welcoming Egypt, Faroese Geological Survey, Lebanon, Newfoundland & Labrador, Ghana and Nova Scotia.

University Forum

Providing universities with an opportunity to increase their exposure, to the industry and prospective students. With a bubble theatre to present their research and emerging projects and an open-plan area for networking, the area will feature the University of Leeds, the University of Manchester, University of Liverpool, University of Derby, University of Southampton and NERC CDT in Oil & Gas.
