Gazprom Neft examines the issue of improving effectiveness in associated petroleum gas (APG) utilisation

12/11/2018

The Gazprom Neft Board of Directors has reviewed the company’s associated petroleum gas (APG) utilisation programme, as well as greater effectiveness in APG utilisation in 2018 and plans for 2019–2021.

Based on 2018 outcomes, and in the light of increasing hydrocarbon production, the productive use of APG throughout the company’s fields is expected to show a year-on-year increase of 2.7 billion cubic metres - an increase, in proportional terms, equivalent to more than 30 percent.

Greater APG utilisation in 2018 is the result of expanded gas-injection infrastructure at the Novoportovskoye field, as well as expanded gas-transmission compression capacity at the Eastern block of the Orenburg oil and gas condensate field.

The construction of facilities at the Urmano-Archinskaya group of fields, the further development of the gas programme at the Novoportovskoye field, and the implementation of projects on APG utilisation at new fields - including, in particular, at the Severo-Samburgskoye and Tazovskoye fields - are expected to be completed in the near future.

The portfolio of projects completed under Gazprom Neft’s gas programme are allowing the company to maintain its increasing momentum in APG utilisation - key factors behind this growth being effective equipment and materials management and the commissioning of new infrastructure facilities.

The Gazprom Neft Board of Directors also considered information on the company’s procurement activities.
