Carbonate Reservoir Characterisation Workshop

Carbonate Reservoir Characterisation Workshop

Cambridge Carbonates can offer courses/workshops on carbonate reservoir characterisation, ranging from 1-5 days. The workshops can be tailored to the specific needs of the clients or can be provided as a more generic workshop. The workshops can be delivered in-house, or virtually via Teams/Zoom. Workshops can also be integrated with core viewings and/or fieldtrips.

Advanced Carbonates and Evaporites 3 Day Workshop

Carbonates and Evaporites 3 day workshop

Advanced Carbonates and Evaporites 3 Day Workshop. This course is aimed at geoscientists working with mixed carbonate and evaporite petroleum systems, who want to improve their knowledge and gain insight on important analogues in these settings. The course incorporates new information about the interaction of active salt tectonics and carbonate deposition and a new approach to the sequence stratigraphy of mixed carbonate-evaporite systems.

Zechstein carbonates and collapse breccias of north east England

2 to 3-day field course discussing the carbonate facies and diagenesis of contrasting sedimentary sequences in the Zechstein of North East England. The field trip can be run over two to three days depending on clients’ requirements. Clients have used this trip for: team building, study of asset-related analogues, foreign secondees, general geological training.

Derbyshire Field Course

Derbyshire field Course

2 to 5-day field course discussing the facies and diagenesis of 4th and 5th order sequences in different tectonic settings. The Derbyshire carbonate platform developed during the rift phase of Carboniferous basin evolution.
We will discuss sedimentary sequences formed in platform margin and interior settings under the influence of rifting and glacio-eustasy.

Jurassic Carbonate Platforms of NE France

Jurassic carbonate platforms of NE France

This 3 to 5-day field course provides an excellent illustration of an integrated workflow leading to high-resolution 3D models, starting with a review of the constraints to the static model acquired from the field scale to the subsurface data, and including sedimentary architectures, and distribution and evolution of petrophysical properties through diagenesis.
