CHC Helicopter, a global helicopter services company specializing in transportation, search and rescue, and maintenance, today announced Jørn Madsen has decided to step down from his position as President and CEO. He will be succeeded by Tom Burke, who will begin his service on February 1.

Jørn joined the business in February 2023 to set a new trajectory toward growth, innovation, and continued industry leadership. Over the last ten months, he has worked closely with the senior leadership team to carefully craft a new growth strategy, identify areas to improve operational efficiency, solidify and build on existing success, and tap into new opportunities for CHC’s helicopter services and MRO business.

With the first phase of that work complete, Jørn has decided now is an appropriate time to step down to focus on other professional and personal commitments.

Jørn Madsen said: 
“We spent considerable time reviewing our operations, market dynamics, and opportunities for growth – and the result is a new, re-focused growth strategy. With the strategic phase of this work complete, I have made the difficult decision to step away from CHC to prioritize my other professional and personal commitments.”
