realtimeseismic completes processing of the Rafael 3D land survey for Buru Energy

03/01/2024

realtimeseismic announces the completion of the processing of the Rafael 3D land survey for Buru Energy in the Canning Basin, Western Australia using their PRESTO technology. The first migrated cubes were produced during the data harvesting. A complete high-end processing sequence was completed in 30 days after the last shot.

Commenting on the results of the fast-tracked Rafael 3D seismic survey interpretation, CEO Thomas Nador said:
“I am very pleased with the initial indications of a very significant step up in data quality of the Rafael 3D seismic survey, and the early insights gleaned from it in such a short period of time following survey acquisition”.

PRESTO is not a conventional fast-track product. The PRESTO solution is an uncompromised processing that includes a complete static solution, with diving wave tomography near-surface modelling, multiple iterations of residual statics, a full signal processing, noise attenuation and a 5D regularization route. An accurate, geologically consistent velocity model is used for a full pre-stack time migration.

The reduction of the turnaround time is achieved using an innovative AI based analysis of the data in the different domains of the pre-migration space, to accelerate the testing and optimal selection of the parameters, along with parallel testing of independent steps of the sequence.
