Lamprell is pleased to announce that it has signed a very large capacity reservation agreement for the Norfolk Vanguard project. The reservation agreement secures capacity in Lamprell’s Hamriyah yard in the UAE.

The base scope of work entails the supply of 2 x 92 wind turbine generator (15 MW) foundation transition pieces for the Norfolk Vanguard West and Norfolk Vanguard East Wind Farms, and the shipping of these to Tees Work Port in the UK.

The Norfolk offshore wind farms are located in the southern part of the British North Sea, off the Norfolk coast, approximately 47 km from the shore. Recently acquired by RWE from Vattenfall, the Norfolk Vanguard project, which is a 4.2-gigawatt UK offshore wind development, is expected to be commissioned this decade.

Lamprell anticipates using its state-of-the-art renewables production line, through which we are able to construct wind turbine generator jacket components, including transition pieces and monopiles, to deliver the project.
