Naftogaz CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov made this announcement on December 14, 2023.

The future of our gas exports to the EU directly depends on the responsible approach we adopt towards its production, storage, and transportation, considering the established standards and requirements," noted Oleksiy Chernyshov."
He emphasized that this is not merely a declarative statement.
"Naftogaz Group's divisions and subsidiaries will collaborate to create the strategy. We’ll have a clear action plan, including an evaluation of the current situation, goals, financing methods, and implementation deadlines," assured Naftogaz CEO.
