Company Profile: Finder Energy

23/11/2023

Established in 2004, Finder Energy is a successful and proven oil and gas explorer. Since then, Finder has built a substantial acreage portfolio of highly prospective exploration permits in two of the world’s premier hydrocarbon basins, the North West Shelf of Australia and the United Kingdom North Sea.

OVERVIEW OF OPERATIONS

Australia – North West Shelf

The offshore North West Shelf is a world class hydrocarbon province and extends for approximately 2,400 km along the northwest margin of the Australian continent. To date it has produced over 10 billion barrels of oil equivalent.

Finder has a NWS portfolio with an interest in two exploration permits covering 7,595 km². Finder is strategically positioned in the most prospective areas of the NWS with permits located in the Dampier and Beagle Sub-basins and the Vulcan Sub-basin of the Bonaparte Basin.

Equity is available in both permits.

AC/P 61

The North West Shelf of Australia is a world class hydrocarbon province and produces over 75% of Australia’s total oil and gas. It extends over 2,400 km along the northwest margin of the Australian continent and comprises four geological basins, the Northern Carnarvon, Offshore Canning, Browse and Bonaparte basins.

AC/P 61

Basin: Bonaparte Basin, Vulcan Sub-basin
Area: 337 km²
Water Depth: 125 – 275 metres
Status: Exploration Permit
Interest: Finder Energy (100%, Operator)

WA-547-P

Basin: Northern Carnarvon Basin
Area: 7,260 km²
Water Depth: 30 – 135 metres
Status: Exploration Permit
Interest: Finder Energy (100%, Operator)

Permit Highlights

  • Finder holds 100% equity in Australia’s premier offshore exploration trend.
  • >70% exploration success rate in the adjacent Bedout Sub-basin.
  • Material prospects defined on 3D with the same characteristic features of the Dorado play such as channel incisions, bright amplitude-versus-offset (AVO) responses and hydrocarbon chimneys.
  • Shallow water depths and targets lead to simple well designs and lower cost drilling.
  • Equity is available in WA-547-P.  Please contact info@finderenergy.com if you would like to find out more about the material prospectivity within some of Australia’s hottest exploration plays.

UK – North Sea

The North Sea is one of the most prolific hydrocarbon provinces in the world. Total production to date from the UK Continental Shelf is over 45 billion barrels of oil equivalent.

Finder currently holds 5 seaward production licences, 4 in the Central North Sea (P2524, P2527, P2528 and P2530) and one in the Northern North Sea (P2502).
