In September, specialists from Ukrgazpromgeofizyka Geophysical Division, a branch of Ukrgasvydobuvannya, conducted 266 field visits to collect samples from promising fields.

This represents the highest number of visits in the branch’s history, according to Oleh Tolmachev, Acting General Director of Ukrgasvydobuvannya.

"We have renewed our equipment fleet, which allowed us to shift geophysical surveys to round-the-clock mode. We plan to further expand our efforts so that Ukrgazpromgeofizyka can fully meet our requirements," he commented.

According to Tolmachev, Ukrgazpromgeofizyka has steadily increased its research activities over the past one-and-a-half years. The first 9 months of 2023 witnessed more than 2,000 field visits, a 50% increase compared to the same period last year.

"Ukrgazpromgeofizyka performs over 80% of geophysical surveys at Ukrgasvydobuvannya's wells, covering various stages from drilling to commissioning. These efforts aim to gather extensive data on hydrocarbon production prospects," explained Tolmachev.

He also noted that the duration of work on a single well is around three days on average. Depending on complexity, this requires 4-6 employees.
