Scottish Renewables announces open recruitment campaign

17/08/2023

Scotland’s renewable energy sector is expanding at unprecedented speed, and as its representative body Scottish Renewables needs to keep pace.

For the first time we're holding an open recruitment campaign to find the people we desperately need to fill roles across the organisation.

Our Policy team analyses and responds to government decisions, our Communications team is active across media, public relations, public affairs, marketing and digital; our Energy Transition and Supply Chain team works with members and other bodies to smooth the shift to net-zero and our Events team run conferences and award shows which attract thousands through the year.

We’re a friendly and professional organisation based in a bright new office on St Vincent Place in the centre of Glasgow. We work flexibly to deliver the best results for 330+ member organisations and regularly travel to their premises across the UK and beyond.

If you'd like to work in any of the teams mentioned above (or across them all) please send a two-minute video telling us:

  • Why you’d be an asset to Scottish Renewables
  • What you think we should be doing next
  • Your name and where you live

Industry knowledge isn’t essential and at this stage we're looking for aptitude and enthusiasm, so please don't send CVs.

We're proud to be an inclusive employer and welcome applications from those with a disability, the LGBTQ+ community and ethnic minorities. If the recruitment task presents any challenges, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Videos (and any questions) should be emailed to info@scottishrenewables.com.

FAQs:

  • We're assessing videos as they arrive and will close this process once we've found enough people, so there's no formal closing date.
  • Videos should be in mp4 format if possible. If we can't open less-common file formats, we may not contact you to ask for a different version.
  • We recommend using a free file transfer site like WeTransfer if your video is more than 5MB.
  • Videos over two minutes may not be accepted.
