New London Office Signals Further Growth For Crondall Energy

10/10/2018

Crondall Energy, the floating production and subsea specialists, has opened an office in London.

The move is part of a wider growth strategy to capitalise on the increasing level of activity and opportunity within the upstream sector.  The new office will enable Crondall Energy to be closer to its London-based oil and gas clients and to continue to attract the very best industry talent.

Crondall Energy’s Managing Director, Duncan Peace, said: “This is part of our overall growth strategy to bring our consulting services closer to our clients in a number of key regions. We have a significant number of current and future clients based in London and the office will enable us to work with them even more effectively. It also provides us with greater opportunity to continue to recruit outstanding oil and gas professionals who wish to work on exciting projects with leading oil and gas clients.”

Duncan Brown, formerly of Petrofac, has joined the company as Subsea Manager, London. He will lead Crondall’s efforts in the area of subsea and pipelines.

Brown, who has more than 26 years’ experience working with oil and gas engineering consultancies and major operators, added: “The recent evolution of contracting strategies, mergers and collaboration in the SURF sector and increase of investors’ confidence in oil & gas developments means now is a perfect time to launch our London office.  The need for independent expertise and advice is increasing and Crondall Energy are well-placed to deliver that to London and international clients.

“I’m delighted to be joining Crondall Energy at this exciting time, leading the subsea effort in London and working with great people I’ve known and respected for many years.”

Crondall Energy is an independent oil and gas consultancy that provides strategic business and technical advisory services to the global energy sector. The company now has four UK offices in Winchester, London, Aberdeen and Newcastle plus offices in Stavanger and Singapore. It has worked on projects in all the major offshore oil and gas regions around the world.

Crondall Energy’s subsidiary, Buoyant Production Technology Ltd., recently launched a cross-industry initiative to develop a floating production buoy to unlock smaller North Sea reserves in partnership with the Oil and Gas Technology Centre’s Facilities of the Future programme. The subsea team is also leading a major joint-venture study into the reducing the cost and risk associated with anchoring pipelines to the seabed.

The office, in Lower Thames Street, was officially opened on Monday, 1st October 2018.
