Trio of board appointments as OEUK looks to build a cleaner energy future

Offshore Energies UK (OEUK), the leading representative body for the UK offshore energy industry, has appointed three major business leaders to its board as the sector focuses on powering the nation with home-produced oil and gas while underpinning the transition to net zero.

With more than 20 years in the energy industry, Jillian Owen, Apache North Sea’s UK Country Manager, has extensive experience of working within both operator and oilfield service companies. In a career that spans upstream and midstream oil and gas activity, Jillian previously held senior positions in a wide range of senior commercial roles within commercial operations, business development, supply chain and joint venture management at companies including Maersk Oil, Maersk Contractors and Nexen Petroleum UK Limited.

As Vice President, Europe North Sea & Caspian at Baker Hughes, Abdou Beloucif brings more than 22 years of industry experience to the Board. Having started his career as a wireline field engineer, Abdou has since worked in over 20 countries across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Russia Caspian. His interests include developing both talent and technology to help the industry deliver a more sustainable low carbon future.

In her current role as CEO of North Sea Midstream Partners (NSMP), Sayma Cox builds on significant experience working for bp, Maersk Oil, Petrofac, Woodside Energy and ConocoPhillips. She has held a variety of technical, operations, and management roles gaining a deep knowledge of the UKCS and combines those insights with extensive international experience gained in Australia, Dubai, and Romania. Most recently, Sayma has extended her capabilities in the field of low carbon and renewable energies.
