Petronas of Malaysia has awarded Airborne Oil & Gas with Technology Readiness Level 6, following the monitoring of the world’s first successful TCP Flowline for hydrocarbon service in Malaysia.

Back in 2012, Petronas contracted Airborne Oil & Gas to supply non-metallic pipe in order to do away with all of their corrosion issues on their infield pipelines. We completed an extensive 5 year qualification program which included pipe testing as well as offshore installation trials. In 2017 Petronas installed a TCP Flowline pilot in Malaysia on hydrocarbon (full well bore) service, as a world’s first. We worked together closely with Petronas and the offshore installation contractor to ensure proper and smooth installation of the world’s first TCP Flowline – with great success.
