Last call for AFBE-UK Award nominations

The deadline is fast approaching to nominate you or your company for a top honour at the 2023 AFBE-UK Diversity and Inclusion Gala and Awards.  

Entries are open to all individuals and UK-registered companies within the engineering and energy sectors. The closing date for nominations is Friday, June 30 (2023).  

The AFBE-UK Awards aim to celebrate the growing diversity of engineering landscape and recognise the exceptional contribution that companies and individuals make to the industry.  

The categories available for nominations include:  

  • STEM Champion of the Year – sponsored by Wood plc
  • Young BME professional of the Year – sponsored by Leonardo
  • Mentor of the Year – sponsored by the Royal Academy of Engineering
  • BME Leader of the Year – sponsored by the Royal Air Force
  • Company of the Year – sponsored by SSE

There is also a Special Appreciation award which will be announced on the night.  

The finalists will be announced in September and the award winners will be revealed at the AFBE-UK event which takes place on Thursday, November 23 [2023] at the P&J Live, Aberdeen.

The principal sponsor of the diversity and inclusions awards is bp and the platinum sponsor is the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team. Tickets for the event are still available and start at £90 for AFBE-UK student members, £120 for professional members and £150 for non-members.
